Archaeological sites can create a first-class background for your souvenir photos. So put a little imagination and follow some basic photography tips to enrich your album with beautiful images. These are the most popular archeological sites for dream photos!

Parthenon

Do not visit the Parthenon and the Acropolis without your camera together. Even if it is located in the center of Athens, the Parthenon is such a majestic historical monument with world recognition that deserves your attention. Choose for your best shots the morning sun and the afternoon hours of the sunset. Tangle between its columns, focus and take close and distant photos. Unfortunately you can not stay at the archeological site until late, but if you want night shots, you can take them from the hill of Philopappos or Thissio.

Delphi

The archeological site of Delphi is the "Navel of the Earth" and is located in the prefecture of Fokida, 170 km from Athens. If you visit Delphi which is a top point of cultural interest, the places you can photograph are so many that you will not know what to choose first. The sights in Delphi are many and it will take you a long time to discover them all. Photograph the Dome of Athena Pronea, the archeological site, the amphitheater, the Temple of Apollo, the Ancient Stadium of Delphi and the Ancient Theater which are among the most well-preserved sights. Pose against the backdrop of the fir-covered southern slopes of Mount Parnassos. If your lens can catch the bay of Itea and Amfissa, you will definitely have a cultural and geographical treasure in your album.

Temple of Poseidon

Sounio is the southernmost cape of the Prefecture of Attica, about 65 km away from Athens. At this end are the ruins of the Temple of Poseidon which rises almost vertically from the Saronic Sea. Choose a day with a lot of sunshine to get the best shots. The sun's rays can play a unique game with your camera, giving a dazzling light to your photos. Do not leave before sunset which will provide you with more atmospheric shots. Take advantage of the blue sea background. All the energy of the Temple will pass to your images.

Temple of Aphaia

It is one of the most well-preserved temples in Greece and is located in Aegina. It is one of the three temples that make up the Holy Triangle of antiquity. The Temple of Aphaia is located in the northeastern part of the island, is built on a hill 160 meters high and is surrounded by pine trees. Its view of the Saronic Gulf, Piraeus and Salamis is unique and that is enough to take photos that will stand out thematically. In whatever corner of the temple you pose, the result will be different, as if you are somewhere else. Choose a day with a lot of sun to have the maximum brightness in your shots.
